Terms of Service
- HighIQTrade is an educational tool for building, backtesting and running trading strategies with simulated (paper) money only.
- We are not a broker, investment adviser or financial planner, and nothing here is investment advice.
- Your trading account is with Alpaca, under your own Alpaca agreement. We never hold your money or securities.
- Backtests and paper results are hypothetical and do not predict real results.

1. Who we are and agreeing to these terms
HighIQTrade (the "Service"), available at app.highiqtrade.com and highiqtrade.com, is operated by Originstreat LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for users in the United States. During the beta, accounts may require an invitation code, and we may limit or close access at our discretion.
3. What the Service does
The Service provides educational and software tools, including:
- strategy lessons that replay trading rules on past prices;
- a market scanner that scores stocks and ETFs using a fixed, published formula;
- a backtesting tool that simulates how a set of rules would have traded in the past; and
- a bot builder that lets you configure your own rules and run them against your own Alpaca paper-trading account.
You choose every rule, number and setting. Templates and lessons are starting points for learning, not recommendations. During the beta, bots trade U.S. stocks and ETFs, use market orders, and operate on paper (simulated) accounts only. The Service does not connect to or place orders in live, real-money brokerage accounts.
4. Not investment advice; we are not your broker
Everything in the Service, including scores, signals, strategy templates, lessons, backtests and bot activity, is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any security.
Originstreat LLC is not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser or commodity trading advisor. We do not hold, custody or have access to your funds or securities, and we do not exercise discretion over any real-money account. Before making any real investment decision, consider consulting a licensed financial professional.
5. Your Alpaca account and connection
Brokerage services are provided by Alpaca Securities LLC and its affiliates ("Alpaca"), not by us. Your relationship with Alpaca is governed by Alpaca's own agreements and disclosures, which you accept directly with Alpaca. Alpaca is not affiliated with Originstreat LLC and does not endorse the Service.
When you connect your Alpaca paper account (by entering paper API keys or by authorizing the Service through Alpaca's login), you authorize us to read your paper account information and to place, monitor and cancel orders in that paper account only as instructed by the bots and actions you configure. You can stop a bot, remove it, or disconnect your Alpaca account at any time from within the Service, and you can revoke access from Alpaca at any time.
You are responsible for your Alpaca account, for keeping your Alpaca credentials secure, and for reviewing activity in your account. Do not trade a bot's stock by hand in the same account, because the bot treats every share of that stock as its own.
6. Hypothetical and simulated results
Backtests, strategy lessons and paper-trading results are hypothetical. They are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, do not involve real money, and do not reflect the impact of real-world factors such as liquidity, slippage, partial fills, fees, taxes and the emotional pressures of trading. No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve results similar to those shown. Past performance, real or simulated, does not guarantee future results.
Market data may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Bots run on a schedule and depend on internet connections, third-party services and market hours, so orders may be delayed, rejected, filled at prices different from the price shown, or not placed at all.
7. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly at support@highiqtrade.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- One person per account. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including market manipulation or any activity that violates securities laws or Alpaca's terms;
- access another person's account or brokerage credentials;
- interfere with, overload, probe or attempt to bypass the security of the Service;
- scrape, copy, resell or redistribute the Service, its market data or its content, except as these terms allow; or
- reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
9. Fees
The Service is currently free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you about the price and terms before you are charged, and you will only be charged if you choose a paid plan.
10. Our content and your content
The Service, including its software, design, lessons, text and logos, belongs to Originstreat LLC or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own learning and personal use under these terms.
The strategy settings you create remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them to operate the Service for you.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Alpaca for brokerage and market data, an email provider for account messages, and our hosting provider. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms, and links to third-party sites are provided for convenience only.
12. Changes to the Service and suspension
The Service is in beta and will change. We may add, change or remove features, limits or supported assets at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if required by law or by Alpaca, or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any data, score, backtest or bot will be accurate or achieve any result.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Originstreat LLC and its members, managers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, trading losses, lost data or lost opportunities, arising out of or related to the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Originstreat LLC against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@highiqtrade.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and notify you in the Service or by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
